Even though it seems not to be very threatening, there is a lot of concern about the H1N1 flu. The adminstration and the medical community are working hard to contain the flu and spread the information about preventing it. The parents on the other hand are getting more and more confused. Why?
Does anyone know the side effects of the h1n1 shot? Would really like to hear from those who have already got the H1N1 flu shot/spray. The seasonal flu shot sometimes gives cold like symptoms so I am assuming there must be some side effects from at least the nasal spray shot as it contains live virus.

Nope I could not get the vaccine as I thought I would. The lines were too long and the weather was rainy. If not from the h1n1, we could have fallen sick by just standing in the line! So we decided to wait for a better chance!
My whole family got the h1n1 flu shot last week and there has been no adverse reaction upto now. Not sure of any long term effects. I am assuming there won't be any since this vaccine is very similar to the seasonal flu vaccine that we have been getting for several years now. From next year onwards the h1n1 virus strain would be part of the seasonal flu vaccine anyways.
I know of a family too who all got sick from the h1n1 but they all recovered without much hassle just like one would from a seasonal flu. I would personally recommend visiting the doctor regardless of your health status.
